WHO WE ARE
The DIH – Equal Under the Rainbow Association consists of a president, 2-3 employees, 3 project associates, 3 volunteers from the European Solidarity Unit and more than 25 volunteers.
WHY WE EXIST
DIH is a non-for-profit non-governmental organisation. Since 2003 we strive towards the well-being and empowerment of LGBTQIA+ individuals (lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual persons and others who question their sexual orientation or gender identity) and the community in Slovenia. We work towards better understanding, visibility, awareness and representation of LGBTQIA+ people and topics in order to fight discrimination and achieve equality and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ persons.
WHAT WE DO
Our activities include discussion groups, workshops, counselling, camps, social events, counselling on prevention of sexually transmitted infections, publishing, informing through the internet and in the field, collaboration with other NGOs on a local, national and international level that work on the field of LGBTQIA+ rights, we support students and other researchers in their research work on LGBTQIA+ topics, we involve volunteers in our work and educate them, we prepare media campaigns, round-tables and sports activities.
