Summer is the time for vacations and people tend to take things easier while they are on a holiday, but still it is very important to take condoms with you when you are going on a vacation.
The most important thing about wearing a condom is that you respect yourself and your partner. It does not matter if you are in a relationship for years or it is the first time, it is important to protect both of you, especially when you or your partner has not been tested recently. Many people who have Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) do not actually know they are infected. They may believe that they are STD free and tell you so, but in fact they are not. That is why it is important to test yourself regularly, even if you are in a relationship and even more often if you are in an open relationship.
Condoms are highly effective against the most dangerous diseases. These infections include HIV (the virus that causes AIDS), chlamydia, herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and syphilis. Anyone can get infected through sexual intercourse with an infected person and changing partners adds to the risk of being infected.
